Holocaust Memorial Day Trust Resource Launch
On Thursday 5 October at 4pm (BST) the Outreach team at Holocaust Memorial Day Trust will present new resources for Holocaust Memorial Day activity organisers across the country to use for HMD 2024.
Increasing LGBTIQ+ Inclusion in Youth Work & Education
LEAP Sports Scotland is putting on this event for anyone who works with young people to understand LGBTIQ+ inclusion and get practical tools for implementing it into their practice. We will share best practice of LGBTIQ+ inclusion in youth work and education, explore the realities of LGBTIQ+ young people in Scotland, and introduce new resources that make assessing, learning about, and implementing LGBTIQ+ inclusive youth work easier.
An opportunity to explore intersectionality and look at how it fits with your youth work practice. Suitable for newcomers to intersectionality and for those who have already started exploring how it can benefit their practice and the young people they work with.
EDI Community of Practice: Supporting young people facing hate on social media
In this Community of Practice we will be looking at how we can engage safely with young people online and the decisions we might need to make in order to keep them safe through our work. We will think about how to support young people with different protected characteristics who are using online spaces and experiencing different levels of negative engagement.
