RNIB is the leading sight loss charity in the UK and is driving the creation of a world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss.

The sight loss awareness sessions help gain an understanding of living with sight loss and how best to support someone who is blind or partially sighted. They are specifically aimed at working with local mainstream organisations to help make services more accessible.

Sight loss awareness sessions are interactive and informal and delivered by RNIB Scotland’s staff team including someone with lived experience of sight loss.

Depending on the need, each session lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours and can involve an interactive element to demonstrate sighted guiding. There are lots of opportunity to ask questions and get participants thinking about sight loss.
