In 2020 11th July marked the 25th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.
Only 50 years after the holocaust and the world’ s determination of “never again”, 8,372 Bosnian men and boys were systematically executed in a preplanned operation to ethnically cleanse the eastern Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica.
Remembering Srebrenica Scotland shows how unchallenged, hatred and intolerance can take a multi-ethnic country from peace and stability to the scene of the worst Human rights atrocity in Europe since the 1940s.
As part of online events happening, Remembering Srebrenica Scotland has put together a podcast series which explores the impact of taking part of a delegation. Delegates discuss what they learnt while visiting Srebrenica and meeting survivors and what they will do with this learning in future.
