EDI Community of Practice Supporting the Mental Health of Diverse Young People

A heart outline made up of hands of different skin tones.

Join us for our next EDI Community of Practice, exploring how we can support diverse young people with their mental health.

We will hear from Youth Consultants at SeeMe about mental health stigma and discrimination as well as from Cynthia Gentle, Netowrk Support Officer for the United Voices Network, who will share her experiences of supporting  Black and Minority Ethnic Young People to talk about mental health.

See Me’s session will aim to share learning and understanding around what mental health stigma and discrimination is for young people, it’s impact and where it comes from. Taking an intersectional approach, the session will also aim to share learning about what can help to reduce mental health stigma and discrimination in youthwork settings as well as learn more about See Me available resources.

There will also be the opportunity to share your own experiences and discuss different approaches with colleagues in break out rooms.
